Oh! the power of a well-timed word. . .
touched and anointed by the Spirit of God. . .
it has power to pierce through clouds of despair. . .
giving rise to NEW HOPE and strength to go on.
Lord, don't let my words be meaningless or shallow. . .
or words that discourage or kill the human spirit. . .
but words that upbuild, encourage, and bless. . .
well-timed, sensitive, and Spirit-anointed words.
So attune me to You, so that I will speak. . . not only
the right words . . . but also at the RIGHT time. . .
because even right words, spoken at the wrong time. . .
can be detrimental, causing more harm than good.
OH! LORD WAKEN ME MORNING BY MORNING. . .
WAKEN MY EAR TO LISTEN TO YOUR VOICE. . .
AND GIVE ME . . . AN INSTRUCTED TONGUE. . .
TO SPEAK A WORD . . . IN SEASON . . . TO HIM THAT IS WEARY!
