On October 21, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI canonized several saints, among them St. Kateri Tekakwitha and St. Marianne Cope, two American saints. Another woman who was canonized on the same day is a wonderful model for all CUSANS. She was paralyzed at the age of 19 through an accident, spent the rest of her life in bed, and eventually turned to letter writing to spread the Good News of Faith and the Gospel. What a wonderful CUSAN she would have made.
