Independence Day

Good and gracious God, on this Independence Day we pray for our country and all who live here. May Americans join together in building a society in which everyone can have the opportunity to live with dignity and hope. We pray also that more people will join together to practice charity and promote justice and peace throughout our great nation. May the values of our Christian faith guide us today and every day. Amen.
